About

Hi, I’m Dan. Most of what I do professionally has nothing to do with electronics — but somewhere between spreadsheets and client calls, I ended up with a drawer full of Arduino boards, sensors, and half-finished robot builds that only I understand the wiring for.

This site exists because that habit didn’t stay contained to a drawer. I’ve bought (and returned) more boards, motor drivers, and “essential” sensor kits than I’d like to admit, and I’ve spent enough late nights chasing a loose jumper wire to have real opinions about which gear is actually worth your money and which is just clutter. Circuit & Bot is me writing those opinions down — what to buy, what to skip, and what other makers out there are building with this stuff.

I’m not an electrical engineer. I’m someone who builds because it’s fun, breaks things regularly, and would rather point you to the $8 sensor that works than the $30 one that doesn’t do more.

A Note on How This Site Makes Money

Circuit & Bot participates in the Amazon Associates program. When you click a product link here and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way. We only link to gear we’d genuinely recommend based on our own research and use, and that recommendation always comes first; the affiliate link is just how the site stays running.
